Tips for finding cheap accommodation in Budapest

If there is something easy in this city is to look for and find accommodation, since there are not few options available. However, it is important to take into account certain aspects to make the choice of the best place to sleep in Budapest a success and you can enjoy this incredible city.

  • Budapest is a relatively small city, if we think of the distances that must be traveled to visit its main tourist attractions. Taking this into account that the prices of the hotels in the city are quite tight, our choice where to stay in Budapest would be Belváros or Lipótváros.
  • Jòzsefvàros, in District VIII, is one of the most popular options due to its very reasonable prices. Although there are areas that are very safe, there are others that are not so safe, so we believe it is better to avoid it to avoid unpleasant surprises.
  • Remember that if your trip to Budapest coincides with high season it is highly recommended to book your accommodation in advance to have more options and find lower prices.
  • Remember that to avoid paying commissions and to always have the current exchange rate we recommend you to use the Revolut card and the N26 card, which are the ones we use, are free of charge and will save you a lot of money.
