Although there are many places to stay in Salamanca, if your trip is for a few days, we recommend you to choose a central area that allows you to be close to the main attractions and make the most of your time in the city.
1. The historic center, the best place to stay in Salamanca
Also known as Ciudad Vieja, the historic center is undoubtedly the best place to stay in Salamanca where you will feel at home while strolling through its streets for which time seems to have stopped.
Here are located most of the tourist attractions, such as the Casa de las Conchas, the University or the impressive Plaza Mayor and is also the area that has the largest range of restaurants, which also makes it the best option where to stay in Salamanca.

2. The train station, the most practical place to sleep in Salamanca
If your trip to Salamanca is part of a route through Castilla y Leon or you just want to make more trips around the area, looking for a hotel near the train station is the best option to stay in Salamanca because from here you can move in a short time to Madrid, Valladolid or Avila.
It is also only 15 minutes from the Plaza Mayor, a journey that if you do not want to walk, you can cover perfectly by public transport or even cab.

3. Around the Roman Bridge, another of the best areas to look for a hotel in Salamanca
Declared a national monument in 1931, the Roman Bridge is another of the places to see in the city as well as a highly recommended area to stay in Salamanca as it is very close to the historic center, less than 1.5 kilometers from the Plaza Mayor.
In addition to the proximity to the center, this area is very well served by public transport and has different attractions such as La Casa Lis, the Church of Santiago and the Documentary Center of Historical Memory.

Although we can say that hotels in Salamanca are usually quite cheap, including the most central ones, we want to leave you a selection of tips and recommendations to make your choice as easy and comfortable as possible.
